How long will it take to receive my order?
We ship orders on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's. Your order will be packed and shipped between 1-3 business days from placing your order. You will receive a shipping notification along with a tracking number when your order ships.
Transit time will depend on the shipped method selected at checkout. USPS First-Class Mail typically takes 3-4 business days and USPS Priority Mail 2 business days.
Do you ship internationally?

How long does shipping take for international orders?
Your order will be packed and shipped between 1-3 business days from placing your order. You will receive a shipping notification along with a tracking number when your order ships. USPS First Class mail generally takes 1-4 weeks to arrive depending upon your location.
How will my item be packaged for shipping?
Your order will ship in our signature black & white Naut & Chain box for most orders. Smaller items may be packaged in a custom shinny logo pouch. Inside this packaging your item will be enclosed in our signature burlap box ready for gifting or just receiving yourself. :)
Can I have my item gift wrapped?
Yes, our jewelry comes to you beautifully wrapped already and ready to gift! You'll receive items in a beautiful burlap box or logo drawstring bag ready for gifting.
Can I return my item?
Yes! We will accept returns within 30 days of receiving your order. We require all returns to include all original packaging. Please submit your return through: https://nautandchain.myreturnscenter.com
*We are not responsible for customer returns that are lost in transit or damaged when received.
How soon will I get my refund?
Once your items are inspected by our team, you'll get your *refund typically within ten (5) business days. (*refund if applicable)
What is Gold Vermeil Jewelry?
By definition, Gold Vermeil, is thick layer of gold bonded to .925 sterling silver. As compared to the standard gold plating, which must be 0.5 microns, Gold Vermeil must be 2.5 microns. That’s 5x the thickness of gold plating, making our jewelry highly durable while still cost effective and high quality. For sustainability reasons, we choose recycled silver and recycled gold.
How should I care for my jewelry?
Cleaning your Naut & Chain pieces is easy to do at home. We recommend using a gentle polishing cloth on your gold vermeil pieces, ensuring it is clean and dry. Simply rub your piece in one direction, wiping away any dirt.
Is my payment secure?
Naut & Chain uses Shopify Payments for orders which is an encrypted and highly secure payment provider.
Shopify is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. This compliance extends to all online stores powered by Shopify. From annual on-site assessments validating compliance to continuous risk management, Shopify works really hard to ensure our shopping cart software and ecommerce hosting is secure.
Shopify also includes an SSL certificate that uses industry standard 256-bit encryption technology. This is the same level of encryption used by large banks to keep your information secure.
Change an existing order?
Once an order has been placed it is difficult for us to alter it. We are happy to try and intercept the order before fulfillment. Please email info@nautandchain.com as soon as possible with your order number and requests.
Exchange an item?
Keep in mind that exchanges are handled as returns. Once you email us your order number, feel free to purchase your new desired item(s) from our website at any time. Submit all returns or exchanges here: https://nautandchain.myreturnscenter.com
If you wish to exchange an item(s), email tyler@nautandchain with your order number/proof of purchase and the item you wish to return/exchange.
Once we receive the item(s) within the allotted 30 days, we will then refund your original form of payment. We do not refund for shipping costs. If you return your items after the 30-day limit we may be able to offer you Naut & Chain web-store credit. All items purchased on sale are only eligible for store credit or product exchange.
*Naut & Chain is not responsible for items lost during transit that are shipped from the custom without insurance.
Is there a warranty on your jewelry?
We offer a 90-day warranty that covers manufacturing defects, or defective parts.
The following are not covered by our 90-day warranty:
-Lost items or parts
-Physical damage or damage due to normal wear and tear and scratches in the metal.
-Plating degradation
Is there a “Fine Jewelry” warranty?
All solid karat gold and pave diamond jewelry is covered by a lifetime warranty which covers stones and setting. Should a diamond fall out we will replace or fix the item.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or the loss of entire items.
All solid karat gold and pave fine jewelry must be sent to Naut & Chain for repair and provide proof of purchase.
