 How long will it take to receive my order?

Your order will ship between 3-7 business days from placing your order. You will receive a shipping notification along with a tracking number when your order ships. Standard shipping within the US generally takes 2-3 business days. 

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. 

How long does shipping take for international orders?

Your order will ship between 3-7 business days from placing your order. You will receive a shipping notification along with a tracking number when your order ships. USPS First Class mail generally takes 1-4 weeks to arrive depending upon your location.

How will my item be packaged for shipping?

Your order will arrive in a custom Naut & Chain burlap box for most orders. Smaller items may be packaged in a custom leather drawstrings pouch. Orders over $40.00 will arrive in a black Naut & Chain shipping box. 

 Can I have my item gift wrapped?

Not at this time, but we will provide the jewelry in a beautiful box ready for gifting. 

 Can I return my item? 

Yes! We will accept returns within 30 days of receiving  your order. We require all returns to include all original packaging.

How soon will I get my refund?

Once your items are inspected by our team, you'll get your refund typically within two business days.

 What is Gold Filled Jewelry?

Gold filled jewelry is made up of a layer of solid gold, that is mechanically bonded to a base metal. Unlike any other electroplated metals, gold filled jewelry constitutes 5 percent gold metal content. The karat is indicated in the product descriptions.

Gold filled jewelry has the same feel and same look as genuine gold for a fraction of its price.

 Gold filled is a great alternative to solid genuine gold products as it has the same appearance as karat gold and lasts much longer than any electroplated metals; it can even last a lifetime with proper care.

 I’m confused, what does 14/20 gold filled mean? 

 14/20 Gold-Filled means that the item is 1/20 14K gold or more simply put the 14 = karats and the 20 refers to the % of gold in an item. 1/20 = 5% gold.

How should I care for gold filled jewelry care?

 It is likely that it may not even be necessary to clean your gold filled jewelry, however should you chose to clean it is best to use mild soap and water. For regular cleaning, simply use a little bit of warm water and a soft cloth to dry.

 Is my payment secure? 

Naut & Chain uses Shopify Payments and PayPal for orders within the United States which are both encrypted payment providers. 

Shopify is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. This compliance extends to all online stores powered by Shopify. From annual on-site assessments validating compliance to continuous risk management, Shopify works really hard to ensure our shopping cart software and ecommerce hosting is secure.

Shopify also includes an SSL certificate that uses industry standard 256-bit encryption technology. This is the same level of encryption used by large banks to keep your information secure. 

 Change an existing order?

Once an order has been placed we are not able to alter it. We are happy to cancel the order so that you can place a new one. Please email info@nautandchain.com with your order number to cancel your order. 

Exchange an item? 

We accept exchanges within 30 days of when your order arrives. Please email info@nautandchain.com with your order number and the item style and size you would like to exchange it for. Once orders have returned, the exchanged item can be shipped.

Naut & Chain is not responsible for items lost during transit that are shipped from the custom without insurance. 

 Is there a warranty on your jewelry?

 We offer a 90 day warranty that covers manufacturing defects, or defective parts. 

 The following are not covered by our 90-day warranty:

-Lost items or parts.

-Physical damage or damage due to normal wear and tear including stretching.

-Water damage.

-Plating degradation due to exposure to oils, perfumes, soaps etc.

-Cosmetic damages to the leather, scratches, discoloring, stains, rips. 

 

Is there a “Fine Jewelry” warranty?

 All karat gold and pave diamond jewelry is covered by a lifetime warranty which covers stones and setting. Should a diamond fall out we will replace or fix the item. 

 This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or the loss of entire items.

 All karat Solid Gold and Pave Fine Jewelry must be sent to Naut & Chain for repair and provide proof of purchase. 

 

Can I wear it in water?

 While it is not recommended, we tend to do it often with minimal damage. However, the warranty does not cover water damage so proceed at your own risk.
